FINALLY have mastered my camera, and am proud of shooting and editing this video. Love Wandi.
I have been lucky enough to work with Crime Reporter John Silvester from The Age on this new podcast! Sly is a total pro, which he should be after 40 years on the job… one each week from here on in!
After a full week of work I am finally finished the mammoth Creative New Zealand funding application. I admire anyone who can get to the end of one of these! Good luck everyone!
Isobel Knowles and Van Sowerwine have made possibly the WORLD’S FIRST stopmotion VR work. It premiered at MIFF and now they’re headed to Venice. There’s a wee piece at the end of the latest episode of The Mix that we helped film. Congrats to these wonderful women, and producer Philippa Campey.

We were able to donate $552 to Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary - THANK YOU to everyone who came to the gig and / or bought a tshirt. Wombats love you forever.
Following such an amazing experience filming with Donna Stepan at the Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary I have been inspired to put on a fundraising gig to make money for her and her partner Phil, who work so hard for wombats …. soooo … here is Wombatathon, on June 23rd 2019 at Long Play in Fitzroy North. All these bands are worth looking up and the lineup has achieved Gender Equality. WOOO
A visit to Canberra brought us to the home of Donna Stepan which is also the home to many many wombats. It was one of the best experiences I have had in Australia and if anyone feels like donating they can easily do so here.
I was lucky enough to travel to Canberra to write about a big exhibition opening by NZ artists Jess Johnson and Simon Ward. I also got to make a pretty sweet video with the help from Paul Glubb and some footage from the NGA by a guy called Kris Kerehonu. The show was incredible; worth a trip to that strange city to see it!
It's taken a while but the DVD version of Into the Void is finally on sale, through Flying Out Distribution. Release date is the 12th of December! WOOO. Also Into the Void merch and stuff will be in Galaxy Records ... Merch meaning Tshirts and posters. Dave is alllll over it.
And in other news, stories about Wikipedia and Linux to go up on the YouTube channel over the next few weeks, and pre-preproduction begins on a short documentary about an amazing / terrible home made zoo.
